QI Basics for Advisors

Integrating Advisors on to quality improvement teams is key to having the patient perspective be represented in your organization. However, most Advisors are novice to the idea of quality improvement and how changes are made within your organization. This curriculum provides the context Advisors need in order to have an impact if they are partnering with their providers on process or quality improvement teams. Interactive components of the curriculum brings adult learning to light and helps Advisors understand some simple methodology behind the complex processes used on quality improvement teams in your organization.

This is a 2 part online series taking place on May 23 and June 6th from 4:30pm-6:00pm PST


Patient Family Advisor Skills Exchange

The Patient Family Advisor Skills Exchange (PFASE) is a 4 hour preparation program for patients and families partnering with hospitals and healthcare organizations in an Advisory capacity for improvement.

Flesch-Kincaid – Literacy Score Instructions

The Flesch-Kincaid test rates text on a U.S. school grade level. For example, a score of 8.0 means that an eighth grader can understand the document. For most documents, aim for a score of around 6.0 to 7.0. This test can be used when you are reviewing any documents that patients or their families will be receiving.
