PFA Summit at the 2016 IHI’s National Forum

This year the PFA Summit will be included at the IHI Forum on December 5th.  The vision for the PFA Summit is to provide an opportunity for Patient Family Advisors and National Partner organizations to come together in this collaborative space to learn, inform and co design the future of engagement of patients & families in healthcare improvement.   As the momentum for engaging patients & families in improvement work continues to grow, this will be a chance for stakeholders to authentically inform the work of one another and to collaborate on the future vision for Patient Family Centered Care.  For more information Click Here.

1.  Provide a networking opportunity to Patient Family Advisors and National Partners.

2. Facilitated discussions with all stakeholders together will build on the definitions, standards and authenticity of Patient Family Partnerships for improvement.

3. Participants will define and commit to further collaboration to co design improvement in healthcare and to meaningfully engage patients & families from the bedside to the boardroom.

4. Participants will learn new strategies for establishing impactful partnerships for improvement and tools for implementing strategic partnerships at their local healthcare organization.

5. Participants will embrace their role as leaders of patient family engagement and spread that role in their communities.
